After Robert received his formal art training at the School of Allied Arts
in Glendale, California, he entered the commercial art field in
advertising in So. Calif. where he had his own business for 25 years.
After retiring, he and his wife moved to the Pacific Northwest and he
began painting full-time first in watercolors and then in oils.

He has been accepted in many shows in the NW, receiving numerous
awards and prizes. He has been a member of the prestigious Oil Painters
of America, being accepted in several of their regional shows. His works
have been shown in galleries in Los Angeles, Carmel, Alaska, Wyoming,
Oregon and Washington, and are enjoyed in private collections throughout
Canada and the US. His most recent works are shown in galleries in San Juan
and Lopez Islands, with a strong emphasis on genre scenes on Lopez Island.

His paintings are impressionistic in a realistic mood. He has been a resident
